2024 Highlights
CCAT completed a greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory of the community and municipal heating, electricity, and transportation sectors in order to understand leading emissions sources and to guide decision-making about subsequent emission reduction strategies.
CCAT completed a groundwater sustainability study, evaluating climate-related impacts on the town's groundwater supply. The project builds on previous town-wide studies completed in 1992, 2002, and 2005 by Carol White.
The vulnerability assessment builds on Chebeague’s groundwater study and 2016 sea level rise vulnerability assessment to evaluate climate risks and their potential impacts on community assets, focusing on the island's marine ecosystem, economy, and cultural identity.
