Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventory

The Chebeague Climate Action team completed a comprehensive inventory of local greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, both at the community-wide and municipal levels. The inventory evaluates emissions across sectors, including electricity, heating, transportation, and waste, while also taking into account the GHGs sequestered by forest cover. This 2021 data will serve as an important local baseline to inform future emission reduction strategies and to assess progress through future GHG inventories.
