Collective Purchasing
CCAT is organizing residents to leverage our community's bulk purchasing power, reducing the cost and hassle of residential energy audits, insulation and air sealing, and heat pump installation.
Reduce costs per family
By approaching these projects as a group of residents, we can take advantage of our bulk purchasing power to negotiate lower prices for energy efficiency and electrification goods and services.
Eliminate the contractor disincentive for island work
Island logistics are complicated, and it can be hard to convince a contractor to navigate them for just one residential project. When we pitch lots of projects together, we eliminate that island disincentive.
Simplify the process with clear-cut options
To select a contractor, we solicited standardized proposals with clear-cut technology and pricing options from which to choose. This approaches makes for easy comparison and centralized review, eliminating much of the time and energy you might otherwise need to put into contractor vetting and proposal review.
